There are a total of 8 bolts which will need to be loosened. Once they are loose, you can hook the side rails in and then tighten the bolts. Then you need to place the supplied centre bar in the U-brackets which are also pre-attached to the headboard & footboard Note: There is no centre bar for a 3ft bed.
